Beyond The Aux Of Rage Therapy… The Compelling Grunge Hard Rock Band

This compelling grunge and hard rock band from West Sussex formed in College in November 2024. Rage Therapy’s chemistry is unquestionable, despite more recently coming together to form the band. With recent shows at the Brunswick and Gladstone, Rage Therapy has a way of bringing fun, anger, excitement and emotion to the crowd with their captivating performances.

I saw Rage Therapy for the first time a few weeks ago, unplanned, at The Brunswick. The band’s raw and intense energy immediately drew me to them. They played in the basement of the pub, which had a dark and edgy vibe which complemented Rage Therapy’s eerie feel. Their debut single, “I Know You”, is definitely my favourite live; it’s filled with chaos and intensity. The guitar riffs’ catchiness drew me in the most, and I found the raw and raspy vocals fascinating and definitely evoked emotion in listeners. Their anarchy in their music definitely attracted attention, and I found their performance to be really fun and gripping, juxtaposed well with emotion.

Liam, Olly, Toby, and Dan make up the band. Dan joined later on in June 2024, through being college friends with Toby

The group as a whole draws its inspiration from hard rock and grunge music, including examples such as Jeff Buckley, Nirvana, David Bowie, and Alice in Chains, along with non-musical influences from their experiences at events and in their day-to-day lives, as well as the world’s influences.
